Island Welders serves customers across the Lake Champlain region from our base in Grand Isle County, Vermont. We handle welding and fabrication projects within about an hour of our shop, including the Champlain Islands and nearby Vermont and New York shoreline areas.
Primary Service Areas
Most welding shops around here are a welder with a truck or a small operation without the equipment to handle full projects. We invested differently.
Grand Isle
Our home base and core service area. Metal work here is exposed to constant lake conditions, seasonal movement, and corrosion, which means welding, fabrication, and finishing need to be handled with real installation context in mind.
South Hero
South Hero has a high concentration of active lakefront properties, docks, and boat lifts that see heavy seasonal use. Welding work here often involves bringing existing installations back into alignment after winter movement so everything is ready and functional once the season begins.
North Hero
North Hero’s shoreline and access points are more spread out, with many older docks and marine structures still in service. We’re often called for welding and fabrication work where replacement parts need to match what’s already there, and repairs need to hold up without constant adjustment.
Alburgh
Alburgh combines exposed shoreline conditions with agricultural and working waterfront needs. Welding and fabrication projects here often focus on equipment frames, supports, and marine structures that have to hold up in open, weather-driven conditions without constant attention.
Isle La Motte
With limited access and fewer local resources, welding and fabrication work on Isle La Motte needs to be handled with care. Projects here often involve repairs or custom components where repeat trips and adjustments aren’t practical.
