Welding and Metal Fabrication for the Lake Champlain Region

Around Grand Isle, welding problems show up in different ways, but the expectation is the same: fix it right and keep things moving. Structural steel for active job sites, dock and lift repairs along the lake, and farm or construction equipment that can’t be hauled off – we handle it all from our shop, with full welding, fabrication, cutting, and finishing done in-house.

One Welding Shop That Handles the Whole Job

Most jobs need more than one thing. A dock repair needs welding and refinishing. A custom bracket needs cutting, fabrication, and coating. We keep it under one roof so nothing gets lost between shops.

Common Questions About Our Welding Work

Do you offer on-site (mobile) welding?

Yes. We provide on-site welding within about an hour of Grand Isle when moving the work to the shop is unrealistic or would create downtime. That includes structural repairs on job sites, equipment repairs on farms, and dock or waterfront welding around Lake Champlain. Our mobile setup uses diesel-powered welders, so we can do real field work without relying on whatever power is available on site. Mobile availability depends on the scope of the job and the schedule.

What types of welding do you handle?

We handle MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and we work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. The process is chosen based on the material thickness, joint type, access, and how the part is going to be used. Thin aluminum dock components and boat-lift parts call for a different approach than heavy structural steel or repair welding on equipment. If you’re unsure what you have, we can look at the part, identify the material, and recommend the right process for strength and longevity.

Do you work with contractors?

Yes. We support contractors who need a welding partner that can keep pace with job schedules. That includes structural welding and repair, custom fabrication of parts that don’t exist off-the-shelf, and turnaround work that keeps the next phase moving. We’re set up for practical, structural work for general contractors, excavation companies, and construction crews serving the Lake Champlain region, with shop capability in Grand Isle and mobile service when the job calls for it.

Can you fabricate custom parts, or only repairs?

Both. We do repairs when something is cracked, bent, worn, or breaking under load, and we fabricate new parts when you need a stronger solution or a custom fit. Typical fabrication work includes brackets, mounts, reinforcements, gussets, stiffeners, frames, and one-off structural components built from drawings or from field measurements. For parts that need repeatability or clean profiles, we can cut components with our plasma systems and CNC table, then fit, weld, and finish them in-house.

Do you have a paint booth?

Yes. We have an in-house paint booth for protective coatings and finish coats on fabricated parts and repaired components. That matters for marine and outdoor installations where corrosion starts at edges, seams, and heat-affected areas after welding. Being able to coat parts in-house means you can get components back protected and ready to install without coordinating a second vendor or waiting on a separate shop to finish the job.

What work don't you take on?

We don’t take automotive bodywork or rust repair. We don’t do ornamental or decorative metalwork. We don’t do precision machining or CNC milling. We don’t position as a high-volume production manufacturer. Our lane is structural and functional work: repairs that need to hold, fabrication that needs to fit, and parts built for real load and real conditions around Grand Isle and Lake Champlain.
